What is a Motor Home?

Motor homes are motor vehicles that are designed to provide temporary living quarters and that are permanently attached to a motor vehicle chassis or van.

  • Cooking
  • Refrigeration
  • Bathroom facilities (built-in and plumbed)
  • Self-contained heating and/or air conditioning
  • Drinkable water supply system
  • 110 to 125 volt electrical power system (including solar powered systems)

What is a Travel Trailer?

Travel trailers and campers are nonmotorized, portable units designed to be towed on public roads by a land motor vehicle and designed for recreational and camping use. Trailers that are kept at one location and used seasonally are acceptable, if they can easily be hitched onto a tow vehicle and moved. The wheels, axles, suspension and towing equipment must be present and functional, and the lot the trailer occupies must be secure during nonuse time.
